Conner, Apayao - In its effort to reach out to households residing in one of the most geographically isolated barangays in the province, the Apayao Provincial Hospital (APH) led the provincial government's health services caravan in Sitio Lapat, Nabuangan, Conner yesterday, February 28, 2022.
Provincial Health Office said a total of 94 patients availed of the free medical check up and some 57 for dental check up.
A total of 250 family food packs were also distributed, courtesy of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
The activity was also joined by the Local Government Unit (LGU)-Conner led by Mayor Jorico Bayaua, Conner-Rural Health Unit (RHU) and members of the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The initiative is yet another series of the continuing implementation of an integrated health program dubbed as “PROJECT BUTSY” (Bringing Universal health care services Towards a Sustainable program implementation Yielding to a resilient yApayao), that started last year.
Project BUTSY, a local version of the national government's UHC, aims to bring quality, efficient, accessible and sustainable health services closer to the people, a program initiated by Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. through the PHO, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), RHUs, five district hospitals in the province and other local health stakeholders.
