Luna, Apayao - The PhilHealth Business Center-Apayao (PBC-Apayao) has been awarded the prestigious "Konsulta Champ,” Star Award for Team of the Year in Region CAR - a recognition given to the first PBC to achieve a 100% PhilHealth Konsulta Providers within their territory.
Said award was presented during a grand ceremony held on October 26, 2023, in Baguio City.
The event gathered healthcare professionals, stakeholders, and government officials to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of PBC-Apayao and acknowledge the vital role they play in ensuring comprehensive healthcare services for their community.
During an interview with the agency, personnel at PBC-Apayao shared insights into their achievement. It was revealed that all healthcare providers in Apayao, as well as numerous PhilHealth members, have enthusiastically registered for the Konsulta Program. This concerted effort ensures that residents in the province have access to high-quality, affordable healthcare services.
The PhilHealth Konsulta Program is an initiative aimed at improving healthcare access and affordability for all Filipinos. Under this program, PhilHealth provides payments to registered Konsulta providers based on the number of registered members and their performance.
