Luna, Apayao - Luna women's volleyball team continued their dominance in a back to back outing after beating Kabugao yesterday and Conner today, February 3, 2023 at BGVJr. Memorial Sports Center, Poblacion, Luna.
A commanding first set was shown by team Luna with consecutive service aces and smart ball placement prompting to an early timeout of Conner after a 5-13 rally of Luna. Luna then followed their strong showing after the timeout with a 12-1 run closing out the first set 25-6 in favor of the home team.
Conner, however asserted early dominance with a quick 3-0 run to start the second set. The run was halted by the thunderous spikes from Georgette Gumabay and Roxanne Miclat of team Luna who led an 11-2 counter run to capture the lead early in the second set.
Team Conner continued their struggles late in the second set scoring only 11 points to Luna's 25 to close out the match.
Final score, first set 25-6 Luna and second set 25-11 Luna.
Luna will look to extend their hot streak tommorow against Sta. Marcela and Calansan on Saturday.
