Conner, Apayao - Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr led the mass oath taking of the 118 newly hired and promoted employees of the Conner District Hospital (CDH) last January 23, 2023.
Among the appointees were 64 from nursing sevices, 49 from the medical department and five from the administrative section.
CDH Chief of Hospital Dr. Nelson Rigor in his openning remarks shared the challenges the hospital has encountered during the pandemic and likewise assured that the quality of medical service in CDH will be elevated with the entry of these additional manpower.
"We may have a lot of challenges encountered during the pandemic but it also gave us the opportunity to grow and propelled us to prioritize the fundamental health and social services to our patients. We must ensure that our constituents will receive free and quality healthcare services."
Likewise, Gov. Bulut also expressed his support to CDH in line with the national government’s directive on universal health care as it is now a level 2 hospital per Department of Health’s (DOH) classification.
CDH is among the two DOH-managed and referral hospital in the province that cater patients from Conner, Kabugao and nearby towns of Kalinga and Cagayan.
