Luna, Apayao - Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. is eyeing to provide educational institutions in Apayao with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk's Starlink net connection for high-quality internet service.
The move is aimed at improving the educational experience of students in the province through reliable and fast internet connectivity. As one of the vital changes forced by the COVID19 pandemic, online learning has become the new norm, making it crucial for students to have access to dependable internet services.
Said announcement was made during his visit in Apayao Science High School (ASHS) earlier today, April 12, 2023 to personally give his commendation to the newest pride of the school in the international academic events.
"We are planning to construct activity centers with good internet connectivity in our schools here in the province. We are currently in negotiations with Elon Musk's Starlink to provide us quality internet service and Apayao Science High School will be the first institution to benefit from this initiative. We want to invest sa inyo kasi kayo ang future ng probinsiya," he said.
Governor Bulut expressed his excitement about the possibility of working with Starlink, stating that this partnership would greatly benefit the students in Apayao. "We are committed to providing our students with the best possible education, and reliable internet service is a crucial component of that," he added.
Starlink is a satellite-based internet service that provides high-speed internet to rural and remote areas. The service is currently available in select locations worldwide and has received positive reviews from early adopters.
