Official candidates from the province's seven municipalities vying for Dayag ti Apayao 2023 crown are now ready to walk the stage with flair and style as this trademark pageant will make a comeback after being held back for two years due to the pandemic.
In a meet-and-greet session held Friday, January 13, 2022, at the Clubhouse, Apayao Eco Tourism and Sports Complex in Luna, Apayao, a glimpse of how the seven lovely ladies transformed from a typical yApayao beauty to cordial candidates is a chance the public should not miss.
As the pageant is nearing, Provincial Tourism Officer Rebecca T. Mamba talked to the working committee, pageant organizers, managers, and local officials to keep their excitement aside, and focus first on helping their candidates to develop their outer and inner persona to be able to genuinely portray the province's "vibrant culture and empowered people" like this year's Apayao Say-am theme suggests.
This year, Dayag ti Apayao 2020 crown holder municipality of Luna will bid to defend its crown with its Libnos ti Luna Christine Mae Racacho, 21.
Meantime, other municipalities also expressed their determination to bring home the outstanding title with, Kristeen Mae Boccang, 23 representing Conner, Edilyn Racasa, 24 for Flora, Jazreal Jamila Enciso, 19 for Kabugao, Danelyn Buyag, 19 for Pudtol, Jonabee Ascado, 22 for Sta. Marcela, and Kyleen Allag, 20 for Calanasan.
The biggest night for all the seven candidates will be on February 12 at the BGV Jr. Memorial Sports Center where the most coveted Dayag ti Apayao 2023 crown will find its rightful owner.
