Luna, Apayao - Apayao Lone District Representative Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang urged local officials and constituents to rally behind the province's representative in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines pageant which will be held on May 13, 2023 in SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
During her message in the Kapehan sa Kapitolyo today, March 6, Cong. Bulut-Begtang, who attended virtually, praised Conner's Kristeen Mae Boccang's dedication to represent the province in the grandest and most prestigious beauty contest in the country.
"I urge all yApayaos to join me in supporting Miss Boccang as she represents our province in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. Let us show that Apayao stands for beauty, brains, benevolence, and let us cheer her with enthusiasm and pride." she stated.
Boccang on the other hand thanked the Congresswoman for her endorsement and vowed to use her platform to promote mental health awareness and to help those who are struggling with their mental health.
"I am honored to represent Apayao and I am overwhelmed by the outpouring support and encouragement of Cong. Leah and my fellow yApayaos. I want to use this opportunity to promote our culture and to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and to offer hope to those who are struggling." Boccang said.
The Miss Universe Philippines pageant, is expected to attract millions of viewers and fans around the country.
As the countdown to the pageant begins, the call to support Kristeen Mae Boccang is growing louder and more passionate, as people unite in their love for beauty and brilliance.
