Luna, Apayao - The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA CAR), in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Apayao, organized a training event focused on Business Strategies for Resilience and Continuity for Micro, Small, and Medium Establishments (MSMEs).
Known as the BEST Game Seminar, said two-day undertaking took place at Borromeo's Residence in San Isidro Sur, Luna on September 19-20, 2023.
A total of 26 determined Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Apayao who participated in the Balik Pinas Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBHP) attended the said course. The primary objective of the BEST Game Seminar was to cultivate a strong entrepreneurial mindset among the participants and provide them with practical guidance on running and managing their businesses.
Trade and Industry Specialist Daisy Quimoyog conducted the training sessions using a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, workshops, and simulations.
These methods were designed to equip the attendees with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the challenges they might encounter in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
Micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in driving the growth of the Philippine economy. They not only create employment opportunities for the nation's burgeoning workforce but also contribute to poverty reduction. Furthermore, MSMEs are instrumental in fostering economic development in rural and remote areas.
As a result of their participation in this seminar, attendees were motivated to stay committed to their pursuits, and remain prepared to chase their dreams with determination and purpose.
