Luna, Apayao - Over 100 clients from all over the province flocked at the LMP Hall in San Gregorio, Luna during the kick-off of the free legal consultation and notarial services caravan that began today, February 6 and will run until February 10, 2023.
Held jointly by the Task Force LUSA’ (Lawful and Unified initiatives in Safeguarding Apayao lands) and the free LAWYERS (Free Legal Assistance for the Welfare of Yapayaos with Education and Resolution Services) team, said the caravan is part of the the celebration of the 28th Foundation Day of the province.
Provincial Assesor Ma. Catalina D. Pacis said that majority of problens referred by clients to both service providers were land ownership related issues and concerns, most of which requiring conveyances, surveys and subdivision as well as tax declarations.
Free LAWYERS is being held in coordination with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines - Apayao Chapter (IBP-Apayao) led by the its President, Atty. Ranvylle Albano while the TF-LUSA is led by the Provincial Assessor’s Office (PAssO) in partnership with partner agencies that include DENR, NCIP, LRA, BIR and DPWH, among others.
