Kabugao, Apayao - The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) continues its commitment to providing inclusive access to high-quality healthcare services and promoting health awareness among yApayaos through the Universal Health Care (UHC) Caravan and Project BUTSY.
The Provincial Health Office (PHO) conducted an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) and a free medical checkup and consultation through the Project BUTSY on September 25, 2023 in Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Kabugao.
To ensure that both individuals and communities understood the concept and benefits of UHC, an orientation program was organized for key implementers, including municipal officials and employees, representatives from the academic community, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS). This was followed by complimentary dental and medical check-ups.
Provincial Health Officer I Mark Joleen Calban expressed his satisfaction with the success of the UHC Caravan in Kabugao, highlighting its significance in achieving the ultimate goal of providing equitable health services for all. This accomplishment serves as an example for future initiatives, emphasizing community engagement, health promotion, and access to healthcare services.
