Luna, Apayao - The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) has organized a two-day training workshop for caterers and food service providers which begins today, March 28, 2023 done at the Clubhouse, AETSC, Luna, in a move to improve food safety, sanitation, and food handling and presentation.
The workshop aims to educate and train professionals in the industry on best practices to ensure the safety and quality of food served to the public.
Food safety is an important aspect of public health and the PGA is committed to ensuring that food service providers adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. With the training workshop, caterers and food service providers are expected to gain necessary knowledge and skills in food handling and prevent foodborne illnesses.
Said training workshop will also cover various topics, including regulations, proper food handling, storage, and preparation techniques, and the importance of sanitation and personal hygiene. Participants will also be taught about the different types of foodborne illnesses and how they can control them.

The workshop is open to all caterers and food service providers in the province, regardless of size or level of experience. Participants are encouraged to come prepared with questions and to actively engage in the discussions and activities.
Said training workshop for caterers and food service providers is a proactive step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of the public. By providing education and training on best practices for food safety and hygiene, the province is taking a significant step towards reducing the incidence of foodborne illnesses and promoting the overall health of the community.
