Luna, Apayao - The Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) conducted its first General Assembly today, April 17, 2023 in Aliwa Gym, Luna.
The event was attended by various officials, employees, other personnel, and stakeholders of the PGA to tackle various issues and concerns affecting the institution as well to prepare for the upcoming activities.
Several topics were discussed during the assembly, including employee's entitlement to assistance from mortuary fund, updates on policies of different committees, Collective Negotiation Agreement, and the preparations for the hosting of the 36th Cordillera Month Celebration on July.
In his opening message, acting Governor Remy Albano emphasized the importance of working together towards a common goal of delivering quality services to yApayaos, and called on everyone present to contribute to the growth and development of the province.
"We need to work as a team, with a shared vision and a common purpose, to achieve our goals and objectives as a provincial government," Albano said.
The assembly was also an opportunity for the officials and employees to interact and exchange ideas. It served as a venue for open communication and discussion among the government workers. Several individuals took to the microphone to express their opinions on various issues, ranging from outdated office polices, house rules, and benefits, among others.
The general assembly is held annually to promote transparency, accountability, and collaboration among the officials and employees of the PGA. It also serves as a platform to discuss the plans and programs of the government and to provide updates on the accomplishments and challenges faced by the different offices.
