Sta. Marcela, Apayao - The Apayao Training Center (ATC) in partnership with the Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) and in coordination with the Municipal Local Government of Sta. Marcela, initiated another batch of Electrical Installation and Management (EIM) - National Certificate II course to 20 trainees in Sta. Marcela last November 29, 2022.
With the training provided, more capable electricians in the municipality are expected to render electrical services to communities.
Said training is one of the two EIM courses opened this year's last quarter along with the other three (3) on-going courses being held at the ATC in Luna, Apayao that include Bread Making, Driving NC II and EIM NCII which all started in November.
ATC Administrator Jerome D. Lacambra said that the training is the first to be conducted off-site since the pandemic started in 2019.
Lacambra added that before the year ends, more trainings are scheduled to be opened on a full scholarship basis. These include Bread and Pastry NCII, Dress Making NC II, Housekeeping NC II, Driving NC II and Trainers Methodology Level 1.
"We are reaching out to all interested individuals in the province to avail of these free trainings," said Lacambra.
Meantime, the ATC is currently in the process of registering new programs with TESDA regional office namely Hilot (Wellness Massage) NC II, Tile setting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II and heavy equipment operator (backhoe and loader, dump truck and bulldozer).
