Conner, Apayao - 222 individuals took advantage of the complimentary dermatological surgery mission facilitated by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) at Conner District Hospital on March 7, 2024.
Dubbed the Kilatis Kutis Dermsurg Medical Mission, this endeavour is a concerted effort between the Southern Isabela Medical Center Dermatology Specialists (SIMCDS), the PHO, and the Department of Health (DOH).
The medical mission offered various derma operations, including dermatologic surgical procedures, all under the supervision of seasoned dermatologic surgeons from the hospital to ensure both safety and efficacy.
Aside from surgical interventions, patients were provided with pharmacologic therapy, with dermatologists prescribing medications and offering guidance on over-the-counter products to effectively manage dermatologic conditions.
Furthermore, the program incorporated informative sessions on skincare, hygienic practices, and lifestyle adjustments to promote enhanced dermatologic health among participants.
