Luna, Apayao- 15 utility personnel of the Provincial Government of Apayao (PGA) are presently undergoing a 55-day training on Housekeeping at the Apayao Training Center (ATC) as part of the efforts of the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO) to provide personnel development opportunities to all capitol employees.
The said training is expected to enhance the skills and knowledge of the utility personnel in housekeeping, seen as crucial to improve the quality to the services they render especially for those stationed at the provincial government’s district hospitals.
Upon completion of course modules, the trainees shall undergo a 10-day On the Job Training (OJT) at an ATC-partner hotel in Sta. Ana, Cagayan. Upon passing the prescribed TESDA assessment, they shall be eligible for a National Certificate II (NC II) in housekeeping.
At the start of the year, Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. mandated all permanent and job contract utility workers of PGA and district hospital to secure a NC II related to their line of work.
In connection with this, the HRMDO has partnered with the ATC for the training of utility personnel who need to be able to secure their NC II as mandated.
